About:
The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean of all the five that includes: the Indian, Arctic, Atlantic, and the Southern Ocean, It is 63.78 million square miles in area and 14,000 feet in depth. There are approximately 25,000 islands in the Pacific Ocean such as Tahiti, Eastern Island, Bora Bora, Rarotnga, and Saipan, and a lot more these are just a few of the more popular islands. In the basin of the ocean there is an area known as "The Ring of Fire" where many earthquakes and volcanos occur. It also includes many living and non-living things also known as biotic and abiotic factors. Some examples include sharks, fish, whales, dolphins, coral, seaweed, rocks, sand, water, and many others. Many prey and predator examples occur in the ocean such as fish and sharks, also many host-parasite interactions occur there too. The Pacific Ocean is the most interesting biome, and we are so overjoyed we have had the opportunity to have this as our topic.
